Coming Together to Create Balance

The symbol of a spiral is found in many ancient drawings, hieroglyphs, and pagan artworks. It signifies the cycle of life, death, and rebirth. It's also a symbol for power. I think of power as being the magnetic and electric energy inside us, the power of our feelings and thoughts - our spirit.

The swirl icon illustrated here incorporates both the cross and the spiral, symbolizing the commonalties in different faiths, a coming together of humanity. When we tilt the image the poles of power appear as a cross, signifying death and rebirth in a different spiritual plane.

No matter what faith we live by, we try to center and become balanced. We are all evolving, moving, and shifting in different ways, at different paces, in different places, attracting different situations.

Our spirit works with the law of attraction and the law of intelligence to help us become centered and balanced. When we feel out of balance, it could be because we've unplugged from our feelings or have been unable to release them and move on. Or maybe we've stopped asking questions. Whatever the reason, an out-of-balance feeling indicates that we are disconnected in one way or another.

Continue to ask yourself: What am I feeling? How am I reacting? What am I attracting? Whether we like it or not, the law of attraction and the existence of the divine balances our lives, just as the law of gravity and the existence of the divine pulls down the ball we tossed up in the air.

Altering Your Own Destiny

Be patient with yourself as you choose your reactions and discover your destiny. Strive to become one with the greater whole, and grow into wholeness yourself. We have the time, for we are all eternal beings with infinite spirit energy, the energy of our thoughts and feelings, making choices about our destiny - in this moment.

Our survival instinct gives us the desire to create a stronger connection with our spirit and the divine. In this way, we find independent salvation and a realization that our own spirit, as Swami Sri Yukteswar puts it, "...is resting on a fragment of the spiritual light thereof."

The electromagnetic energy that fills our spirit, entering through our chakras, is a part of that infinite source we call the divine. We are linked and pulled together by our sixth sense, our feelings - and the law of attraction - as well as by our seventh sense, our intelligence - and the law of intelligence. In order to feel the energy of the divine inside us, all we have to do is acknowledge our feelings and ask the questions. All of our answers come from this source. All of our feelings are a part of the divine.

The Shift - From Negative to Positive

How can negative feelings be a part of the divine? Negative energy is needed to balance and protect the multiverse. All faiths recognize a struggle between good and evil.

Pema Chödrön says, "We make ourselves right or we make ourselves wrong, every day, every week, every month and year of our lives." We all struggle with what's right and what's wrong, with what's good and what's evil. This struggle keeps us balanced and safe. When we evolve to a habitual connection with our higher self, our own holy spirit, the balance is healthy. When we habitually feel worried or depressed, the balance is unhealthy.

Negative feelings protect and balance the multiverse according to the law of attraction. When destructive energy is released, the energy that returns destroy the destructor and the multiverse is safe. In Luke, Chapter 11, Verse 26, the Bible says, "Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits, more wicked than himself." [italics added] In The Rock, Chapter 15, Verse 44, the Qur'an refers to hell: "It has seven gates: for every gate there shall be separate party of them." [italics added]

Authors writing on the topic of positive thinking usually include something about shifting adversity to advantage. Whenever we acknowledge negative feelings and shift them to positive ones, however subtly, we turn adversity into opportunity. Ability to shift grows with practice and by continuing to ask ourselves questions.

It involves forgiving ourselves and others as well as releasing guilt. Guilt is meant to be a conscience connector to keep us from harming others, but it's not meant to be a tool to keep us stuck in negative energy. As we feel more positive, we attract more positive circumstances.

Keep in mind that the difference between shifting negative emotions and denying them is also subtle but very important. Denying negative emotions is about pretending they don't exist and ignoring them. Shifting them is about slowing down, breathing them in, acknowledging them - and most importantly - owning them as our own without blaming someone or something else for bringing them on.

If someone or something else has triggered the emotion we don't like, it is because we have attracted that someone or something into our lives to enable us to learn something. Ask yourself what you need to learn from your circumstances and begin to shift your feelings accordingly.

It's helpful when we don't take anything someone does or says as a personal attack, even if it's meant that way. When we accept responsibility for what we attract and feel, we can let go of our feelings without judgment on others or ourselves and without expectation of anything at all.

When we begin the process of owning our feelings, we eventually find positive emotions. The easiest positive emotion to find is gratitude, which is felt in our root chakra. Using gratitude as a base we can usually approach situations with clearer thoughts, feelings, intentions, and actions.

Whenever we feel gratitude or use one of the other seven magic tools, we will attract what we want into our lives. All great achievers use or have used more than one, if not all, of the seven magic tools to achieve their wildest of dreams. Christ could never have elevated to the state of being he achieved without using all of them. With focus and commitment, when we begin to make the seven magic tools a part of our everyday emotional habits, we all have the ability to achieve our own wildest of dreams.

Set your goals, focus your spirit energy - your thoughts and feelings - concentrate on the seven magic tools and ask many questions. You will attract whatever you want.

Have you had enough pain to start believing in yourself and in something larger than you? If you are struggling with a life situation that appears bigger than you, remember, nothing is bigger than the divine. We are all connected through our spirit to the powerful forces of the divine. Our thoughts, our questions, and our feelings determine the strength of that connection. What are your thoughts, your questions, and your feelings right now?

Following the Golden Rule is the way to truth, safety and abundance. Remember, the divine protects us all with the law of attraction when we allow it—because of that same law we can be dynamic and have anything we want when we ask the right questions.
